Design Consultation
We started fielding this question before we ever meant to turn it into a service: people walking through our place, asking where a piece came from, then asking if we would just do the same thing for their own house. So now it's a real offering, and most of what we end up chasing down for clients is teak, the hard-to-find kind: warm wood that's been lived with, well worn and loved rather than kept behind glass. If you can't find it, we can. We make it to Scandinavia a few times a year to source for the shop, and we're happy to keep an eye out for something specific of yours while we're there.
For clients in the Cincinnati area, we come to you. We walk the rooms together and talk through what is worth keeping, what is worth replacing, and where the right vintage piece would actually earn its space. That first visit is free unless we need to travel for it, and we'll have you sign a short contract before we show up. Outside Cincinnati, or if you'd rather start over video, we do virtual consultations on the same terms.
From there, if you want to go further, we'll put together a virtual design for you to review for a flat $500 fee. If you'd like us to source what's in it, we ask for a 25% deposit against the estimated cost of what we find, and the rest follows the contract. We started fielding this question before we ever meant to turn it into a service: people asking where a piece came from, then asking if we'd do the same for their own house.
