Where it comes from
A life well lived
Anne spent a year living throughout Denmark, and those friendships didn't fade the way study-abroad friendships usually do, so most of what we find still comes through people we actually know. Some of it is Danish, a good amount is Swedish, and a few things aren't Scandinavian at all.
What we look for is easier to describe than to define: a table that's seen a hundred dinners, a chair worn soft by real use, a book with a cracked spine because someone actually finished it.

We don't reorder
Every piece here was found once. When it sells there isn't another one behind it, which is a strange way to run a shop, and it does mean the collections change shape as a season goes on.
We try to tell you exactly what a thing is and how we know. Sometimes that's a maker's mark. More often it's the joinery, the hardware, the timber, and when we aren't sure, we say we aren't sure.
